It is now the season for regular pedicures. Below you will find some tips and recipes for some at-home pampering that can be done in conjuction with your salon or home pedicures. (If you have a favorite tip, please email it to us at info@barefootbling.com and we will share it with everyone in our next newsletter!)
1. Apply Top Coat over your nail polish every 2-3 days to prolong nail color shine and help prevent chipping.
2. Easy Moisturizing Foot Bath : Fill tub or footbath with warm-water. Add your favorite bath salts and one tablespoon of olive oil. The salts soften dry skin and calluses, and the olive oil moisturizes. Soak feet for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. LemonFoot Scrub: Mix 1 cup Epsom Salt, 3 teaspoons olive oil and the juice of one small lemon. Immediately massage soles of feet (do not give the Epsom Salt time to dissolve), paying extra attention to any areas of dry or thick skin. Rinse throughly with warm water, and pat dry.
4. Foot Bath Massage: Place several smooth marbles in the bottom of your foot bath. When you move your feet over the marbles they act as soothing and stimulating massagers.
5. Moisturize: Be sure to moisturize your feet at least nightly to keep them looking their best. We love our super-emolient Lotion Candles available at our online boutique.
April Promotion: Free Gift with Purchase of $15.00 or more, while supplies last.

Toe Rings and Other Things
March 2, 2007 by Footjeweler.
One of the things I was most concerned about when I started www.barefootbling.com was that I wouldn’t choose the types of merchandise that spoke to my customers. Many of my items feature “symbols.” For instance, if you love Dragonflies, I have several items you would like, a glass nail file, a toe ring, and anklet, etc. However, its difficult to know what people consider thier “signature”, yet I think its important because we all express ourselves with our jewelry. I wanted my products to be fun, funky, elegant, and whimsical. A tall order, I know. But, toe rings should be enjoyed by the wearer, so I am trying to head in that direction. That being said, I will be adding products to my online catalog in the next few weeks, and will be previewing them for you here. When they are ready to launch, I’ll announce it here first!

A new business (and blog) is launched!
February 23, 2007 by Footjeweler.
I show my toes a lot, whether I am barefoot, which is often, or in one or another of my beloved pairs of flip-flops. And my theory is, if toes are going to show, they should look good. Consequently, in addition to pedicuring my tootsies, I wear toe rings, anklets, and other foot jewelry. Toe rings are a little bit rebellious, and a lot of fun to wear. I recently decided to go for the dream, take this passion of mine, and turn it into a business, so I just launched www.barefootbling.com ; Home of high-spirited indulgences for toes that show! The site features lovely, high quality foot jewelry and other products. Many of the designs chosen for the site are there because of their funky or whimisical qualities, in hopes that customers can find a design that speaks to them and makes them feel light-hearted. Sometimes its the little things that make us feel special. Its a great feeling to be able to pass that on to others, and I am hoping that ultimately, that’s what my website does.
